Account Manager - Schools with Shamrock Foods Company (Phoenix, AZ)
Promotes and focuses on Shamrock Foods brands for greater margins. Analyzes the market for potential sales increase opportunities with existing or/and non existing customers. Manages current School accounts. Assists customers with order entry and verifies that there are no product shortages. Supports customers by guiding them to choosing food options that meet the dietary guidelines of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and other federally funded programs. Establishes an active interdepartmental communication, specifically with the demand planning and transportation teams to ensure good quality customer service. Creates presentations on various subjects for both, team members and clients. Provides School Nutrition related trainings, as well as trainings on the Shamrock Foods Menu Program. Collects all necessary data to submit quotes for non ASPIN customers. Meets with customers on a regular basis to develop a solid relationship and better understand their needs. Works directly with the Menu Program Team by bringing in new customers and ensuring menus meet the customer's needs and the USDA's Programs Guidelines. Gathers data from customer to ensure a higher supply chain fill rate. Assist in the management of school entitlements dollars, interfacing with schools, brokers and third-party systems including USDA. Represents Shamrock Co. at trade Association meetings to promote products. 15% domestic travel through Arizona.
Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related. Requires 2 years of related experience which must include some experience with: Menu Planning based on the USDA nutritional guidelines for Federally Funded Child Nutrition Programs using Menu Wizard and Net Menu by CBORD; Ensuring compliance for Federally Funded Child Nutrition Programs by examining reimbursable meal and nutritional requirements, analyzing menus, and maintaining an active communication with customers; Monitoring customer’s and Commodity/USDA Foods’ banks through Processor’s Link and K-12; Following USDA procurement regulations when quoting and coding bids using bid management in ADAGE; Submitting product forecast through sales communication via ERP to ensure a positive flow in the Food Industry Distribution Network; and Maintaining relationships with major Child Nutrition manufacturers by providing demand data and trends collected in Power BI.
