Summary & Responsibilities

This is a part-time position that we expect will work 25-30 hours per week.

Summary: Prepare and complete bids to ensure pricing accuracy and margins on all house and street bid accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete house and street bids using bid system database
  • Coordinate bid pricing data from Manufacturer and Broker
  • Input bid data into bid system database based on margin goals for annual budget and relationship manager input
  • Address any exceptions created
  • Review the sell prices on the bid worksheet to verify they came across accurately
  • Review the pre-loading of all pricing methods and rebates to make sure all the contract pricing came across correctly
  • Support contract admin in forwarding updated deviated bid pricing and bill back information to contract admin to pre-load into bid system
  • Convert bids in School Bid System upon award
  • Ensure pricing accuracy after award
  • Obtain all recap information from submitted bids and share with Relationship Manager, and Sales Manager
  • Implement Price Increases and notification to customers
  • Maintain bid pricing with contract extensions
  • Research margin loss with Sales Manager as needed
  • Maintain full line product knowledgeAssist with the development and execution of strategic sales plans and forecasts
  • Create customer reports in BI as requested
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, customer responsive, and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must have a strong background in purchasing, contract administration, pricing deviations and bill backs and sales experience
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
