Account Executive Schools - Phoenix, AZ

Summary: Creates and maintains positive relationships with school customers while increasing sales by actively pursuing school bids while managing assigned school accounts by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

* Manage slow, obsolete, and proprietary product inventory for accounts
* Communicate special orders and usage changes with Purchasing
* Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products
* Quote prices and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
* Assist in the school bid process and coordinate school customer appointments weekly
* Work with transportation to develop delivery schedules for customers
* Assist in the management of the Customers Commodity Programs, interfacing with schools, brokers and third party systems
* Analyze market potential for opportunities with existing and non existing customers
* Assist in school product cuttings, product showcases as needed
* Coordinate customer appointments with Product Category Managers for new opportunities.
* Contact established customer base by phone and/or traveling through territory to solicit orders
* Contact prospective customers to solicit orders, and establish new relationships
* Demonstrate product using samples or catalog and emphasize salable features
* Quote prices and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
* Collections, order guide maintenance, and order entry for assigned accounts
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Current driver’s license and auto insurance required
* Must be able to use a laptop
* Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
* Able to calculate amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
* Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel when needed
